NADAguides names most fuel-efficient autos
Two models from Irvine-based Kia made the Costa Mesa firm's ranking.

NADAguides – a Costa Mesa-based provider of auto information for consumers – has released its ranking of the most fuel-efficient vehicles. Among the brands represented on the list: Volkswagen, with four autos, Audi, whose A3 was the most fuel-efficient in three categories, and Irvine-based Kia, which had two cars in the ranking. The 2011 Sorento 2WD four-door I4 LX landed in NADAguides’ Crossover category, and the 2011 Soul five-door Wagon Man ranked in the SUV segment. The two autos attain 25 and 28 miles per gallon, respectively.
In the midst of soaring gas prices – the national average is $3.85 per gallon, significantly higher in Southern California – the car-rating company named automobiles that achieve at least 23 miles per gallon and up to 50 miles per gallon for hybrids.
"Our analysts continue to provide information to help consumers find vehicles, across all body styles, offering the most fuel economy within each category," said Troy Snyder, NADAguides' director of product development. "Consumers will find comfort knowing that there is a model or two available across all body-style segments."
