NAWBO honors three local business owners
Their accomplishments will be highlighted during the 15th annual Remarkable Women Awards on Oct. 5.

From left: Allyson Ames, Kathy Gardarian and Angela CortrightThe National Association of Women Business Owners-Orange County – or NAWBO-OC – will honor three successful businesswomen from Orange County at the 15th annual Remarkable Women Awards on Oct. 5 at the Hilton Hotel in Costa Mesa.
The event – themed “Inspiration, Courage and Hope” – is expected to draw about 800 attendees.
The dinner will honor Kathy Gardarian of Qualis International (lifetime achievement), Angela Cortright of Spa Gregorie’s (business owner of the year) and Allyson Ames of Wonderland Bakery (entrepreneur to watch).
“Kathy, Angela and Allyson embody the mission of NAWBO-OC,” said Kathy Dawson, the group’s president. “We can learn a lot from these outstanding women, who have evolved their passions into profitable business opportunities while leveraging their leadership positions to elevate a number of charitable, educational and community-based organizations. They exhibit a passion for what they do and can be seen as effective leaders and role models for their employees, clients and the community.”
