The city of Irvine has been named the “Safest Big City in America” for an unprecedented fourth consecutive year! According to the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report for the period of January through December 2007, Irvine again had fewer violent crimes per capita than any other American city with a population of more than 100,000.
“This is an outstanding accomplishment for a city that spans 65 square miles and is just 35 years old,” says Tom Veal, vice president of residential land sales and marketing for Irvine Community Development Company LLC, an affiliate of The Irvine Company LLC.
“Irvine city leaders really make public safety a priority, and the Irvine Police Department does an exceptional job,” says Veal. “The city of Irvine also benefits from involved citizens who promote value at the neighborhood and community levels.”
In response to a challenging economy, Irvine-based Park Place Partners Inc., California’s largest residential land brokerage firm, is responding to its client’s needs and requirements through the creation of Park Place Partners Development Solutions Inc.
The new division will provide landowners and financial institutions with an experienced level of project assessment and analysis in order to develop both short- and long-term value creation strategies. Former K. Hovnanian Homes senior executive A. Damon Gascon will head the new division.
To underscore the immediate need for the firm’s focus, Park Place Partners Development Solutions has been tapped to secure the entitlements for Fleming Ranch, a proposed 1,500 unit mixed-use master planned community located in the Menifee area of Riverside County.
