Park Viridian apartment community in Anaheim recently received LEED NC v2.2 Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and GreenPoint Rated certification by Build It Green. Developed by BRE Properties, Inc. (NYSE:BRE) and completed in mid 2009, Park Viridian is the first newly constructed residential property in Anaheim to be awarded the LEED Gold designation. Park Viridian is located at 1515 East Katella Ave., in the heart of the Platinum Triangle, an 820-acre mixed-use development surrounding Angel Stadium and Honda Center. Park Viridian was designed KTGY Group, Inc., Architecture and Planning.

Using the latest in environmentally friendly construction practices, Park Viridian transformed an industrial area of Anaheim’s Platinum Triangle into a sustainable-designed apartment community. According to KTGY’s Dan McAllister, principal and designer,
Park Viridian’s LEED and GreenPoint certifications were based on a number of green design and construction features that have a positive impact on the apartment community, its residents and staff, as well as the broader community.
