Mélange cooking school soon to open in O.C.
Newport Beach-based Mélange will offer culinary training to foodies and businesses alike.

Orange County, known for its fine dining and celebrity chefs, is about to welcome a new cooking school that is anything but “Hell’s Kitchen.” Mélange (it means “mix” in French) will open its doors next month with a full schedule of fun, creative cooking classes for O.C.’s foodies.
The Newport Beach-based cooking school is targeting those interested in cooking with a green-centered philosophy that incorporates ingredients from local growers. Businesses are another market that the cooking school hopes to capture, with corporate team-building experiences that involve rolling up your sleeves and digging in together to create a great meal.
Co-owners Robin Spiegelman and Shara Witkin say their focus is on helping people of all skill levels to create gourmet meals in a fun and entertaining atmosphere. Classes start at about $85 per person.
