Newport Beach and Opis Network team up to help 100 businesses
Kickoff workshop is part of an ongoing program sponsored by the Irvine-based consulting group.

The city of Newport Beach is partnering with Irvine-based Opis Network consulting group on a workshop aimed at helping entrepreneurs re-launch their businesses in 2011.
“Businesses are still facing some of the most demanding challenges they have ever seen, so this is an opportune time,” said Opis Network Partner Norm Bour.
Scheduled for Jan. 22 at the Oasis Senior Center, the workshop will cover the top seven new business trends and outline a 10-point strategy for increasing market exposure, securing capital and gaining a competitive edge in a technology-driven global economy.
It’s part of Opis Network’s Helping 100 Businesses for 100 Days program. Similar workshops have been held in Santa and Buena Park.
“Many business owners continue to follow the old rules, and in today’s quickly changing world, that is no longer an option,” Bour said. “Everyone, including cities themselves, must be pro-active to encourage collaboration and working together to maximize their potential.”
Opis will select 100 business owners from the pool of attendees to participate in its Helping 100 Businesses in 100 Days program, which includes a series of three classes and six online sessions. The program is free to participants.
