  • Play N Trade, Retail Teamwork, continued ...

Retail Teamwork provides its customers strategic business software through an on-demand Web platform that is easily and quickly implemented. The program eliminates expensive up-front hardware and software costs. The company's applications are used in more than 100,000 retail stores worldwide.

The partnership is coming at the right time for the business, says Play N Trade CEO Larry Plotnick. Play N Trade currently operates 250 stores worldwide – 5 of which are in Orange County – and plans to open an additional 100 this year alone. It is one of the fastest growing video game franchises worldwide, going from 27 stores in January 2007 to 240 in January 2009.

The upgraded and revamped systems are set to be unveiled in June during Play N Trade's annual conference in Las Vegas. Stores are expected to be on the program by the end of the third quarter.

Play N Trade customers can try video games before they buy, participate in local and national tournaments, have their consoles and games repaired, as well as buy, sell and trade video games.
