Irvine-based digital gaming company Blizzard Entertainment Inc. will host two special events in Mexico to commemorate the Latin American release of its multiplayer online role-playing game “World of Warcraft,” as well as the game’s first expansion, “The Burning Crusade.” With more than 10 million subscribers, “World of Warcraft” is the world’s No. 1 multiplayer role-playing game in cyberspace.
On July 25, Blockbuster Pilares, located in Colonia Del Valle, will host a "World of Warcraft" launch event. Gamers will be able to purchase the first Spanish version of the successful award-winning game, as well as the game expansion. The newly released version will feature Spanish-language realms and include Spanish-speaking customer support and community teams. Blizzard game developers will be on hand to meet gamers and sign game boxes.
The following two days, July 26 and 27, another launch event will be held at Plaza Satelite, a mall located in Estado de Mexico. Gamers will be able to buy the games, meet reps from Blizzard Entertainment and enter contests for a chance to win a variety of game-related prizes.
