Local automakers are reporting their February sales results, and it's no surprise that Fountain Valley-based Hyundai and Irvine-based Kia continue to lead the numbers. Hyundai saw its 14th consecutive month of year-over-year retail market share gains, with an 11 percent uptick, compared to February 2009. And Kia is reporting record February sales. The company sold about 24,052 cars, which is a 9 percent increase, compared to February of last year. It's 2.3 percent higher than the previous February sales record set in 2007.
