O.C. bankruptcy filings jump in November
The number is up 63.3 percent compared to '08.

Orange County bankruptcies rose 63.3 percent in November, compared to the same time last year, according to stats from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.
Over the month, 1,352 individuals and businesses filed in the region, up from 828 in November 2008.
But, the number is down from October of this year, when 1,460 individuals and businesses filed. Another positive note? There were 21 Chapter 11 filings last month, down 53.3 percent from November 2008. The number also declined slightly from October.
