O.C. bankruptcy filings, continued ...
For the year, more than 10,000 filings occurred in the region. That compares to more than 6,000 in 2008 – it's a 65.7 percent increase.
For the entire Central District, which includes the San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, L.A., O.C., San Bernardino and Riverside counties, there were 9,337 filings in September, up 46.3 percent from the same time last year. But, the number did drop from 9,842 in August, falling 5.1 percent.
