Community College Week magazine is a biweekly publication producing information about two-year colleges and their faculties, administrations and other education professionals. The magazine has named Coastline, which has campuses in Fountain Valley, No. 68; Orange Coast in Costa Mesa No. 72; and Santa Ana College No. 84.

Coastline also was named one of the rapidly growing degree-awarding colleges by the magazine, because of the college’s distance education program that serves the military.

The 2008 list analyzed degrees and certificates awarded during the 2006-07 academic year through the National Center for Education Statistics and Integrated Postsecondary Education Data Set. Community College Week examined roughly 5,000 U.S. colleges and universities giving associate degrees, according to media reports.
