Orange Coast Memorial in Fountain Valley is opening a CyberKnife and Radiation Oncology Center in its new Patient Care Pavilion. The facility is aimed at delivering the most innovative cancer treatments available.

The CyberKnife is touted as the first and only one of its kind in Orange County. It is a full-body robotic radiosurgery system that is both noninvasive and pain-free. It offers an alternative to surgery for both cancerous and noncancerous tumors throughout the body.

The center is headed up by Dr. Ajmel Puthawala and Dr. Nisar Syed.

"We're extremely pleased to be able to bring the Orange County CyberKnife and Radiation Oncology Center to Southern California," says Puthawala. "Our new facility contains the most advanced levels of cancer-fighting technology available."
