Opus Bank, which recently moved its executive headquarters to Irvine, will open three new banking branches in Southern California, including one in Laguna Niguel. The company already has three locations in Orange County, in Irvine, Newport Coast and Corona del Mar.
The new bank branches are part of a company strategy to expand their de novo bank offices throughout metropolitan California and Washington. “As one of the best capitalized banks in the Western region, we are continuing to strategically expand our network of banking offices in the major metropolitan areas up and down the West Coast,” said Stephen H. Gordon, chairman, CEO and president of Opus Bank.
The Laguna Niguel office is slated to open in the first quarter of 2012, and will be located at 24050 Aliso Creek Road on the intersection of Aliso Creek Road and La Paz Road. The other four planned locations will be located in California and Washington, including offices in Long Beach and Del Mar. Seven additional new banks opened in 2011, and Opus Bank plans to open eight more, including some new Southern California locations. The bank currently has 29 banking offices.
