The Orange County Great Park's design team has garnered yet another honor, this time from the American Society of Landscape Architects.
The team, led by master designer and landscape architect Ken Smith, received a 2009 Professional Award for its work on the Observation Balloon Preview Park.
The design team was selected from more than 600 entries worldwide and was among 18 Honor Awards in the general design category. Last year, the team garnered an Honor Award for the Orange County Great Park Comprehensive Master Plan.
“This award is a testament to the outstanding Great Park Master Plan design," says Great Park Corp. CEO Mike Ellzey, "but it also provides the vision of what will be built into wonderful features that delight the public.”
