Water industry professionals and officials will gather at the International Water Efficiency Conference, or WaterEC, at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa starting March 30.

The four-day conference is an education and training setting focusing on water resource management and conservation. It will feature four different program tracks for attendees: Source development and protection will cover water reuse and desalination; the supply storage and conveyance track will discuss pipeline construction and urban water delivery systems; indoor-outdoor use such as landscaping and smart irrigation; and resource management services including building public education and outreach programs, as well as drought planning.

Mark Norton, the water resources and planning manager for the Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority, will serve as the keynote speaker. And other municipal, state, regional, provincial and federal water officials, engineers, consultants, green building and LEED certified construction contractors are expected to attend.
