Orange Mayor Carolyn Cavecche named Leader of the Year
Cavecche receives honor for her contribution to the transportation community.

Orange Mayor Carolyn Cavecche was named Leader of the Year by Mobility 21 during yesterday's Southern California Transportation Summit.
The transportation coalition – which spans six counties, including Orange, in the region – honored Cavecche for her outstanding contribution to the transportation community. The award recognizes an individual who has brought together stakeholders in the community to advance mobility in the region.
Cavecche – who was among OC METRO's 20 Women to Watch honorees in 2008 – has served on the Orange County Transportation Authority Board of Directors since 2004. Among her efforts: Cavecche believes the region's success stems from finding solutions for environmental improvements and transportation projects. She has worked to invest more in mobility; restoring transit funding; improving congestion and the environment; and helping the system operate more efficiently.
