Panasonic Avionic’s X Series is the latest generation of a revolutionary in-flight entertainment system (IFE) developed by the company to offer leading-edge technology and new entertainment options for wide- and narrow-body aircraft.

Avianca has already ordered ten Airbus A330s that will be equipped with Panasonic’s eX2. This will offer Avianca passengers access to audio and video on demand (AVOD), iXplor dynamic maps, games, surveys and a variety of applications that include tools for the work office.

In addition, Panasonic will provide Avianca the eXport portal integration technology, which enables passengers to listen to and view the contents of personal media players like iPod and iPhone through the system.

“We are very pleased to be able to offer our passengers of domestic and international flights to enjoy the eX2 system,” says Fabio Villegas Ramirez, president of Avianca. “With this system, Avianca will be able to offer our passengers an incredible flying experience, with many entertainment options – a key to fulfilling our goals of service and business.”
