Park Place Lexus Mission Viejo aims to
expand facilities

Proposed plan calls for larger showroom, new five-story parking garage.

Despite recent struggles in the automotive industry, Park Place Lexus Mission Viejo wants to expand its facilities, according to a development permit submitted to the city.

The proposed plan would enlarge the existing showroom and service building from 37,185 square feet to 60,580 square feet. It also calls for a new five-story parking garage south of the showroom and east of the nearby AT&T building.

The dealership wants to reduce the size of that AT&T center from 21,739 square feet to 5,700 square feet. This multiphase project would then include constructing a surface parking lot for vehicle inventory. Other aspects of the plan include driveway and streetscape improvements around the facility.

The Planning and Transportation Commission is set to review the proposal in late June.

Park Place Lexus Mission Viejo is located at 28362 Marguerite Pkwy.
