Predixion Software, based in San Juan Capistrano, has been named as a top innovator and will join other healthcare and healthcare IT companies presenting at the Life Sciences and Healthcare Venture Summit in New York City on March 28. Predixion creates predictive analytics systems for healthcare providers, who use the systems to handle risk management issues, reduce healthcare costs and improve treatment quality.

One of the firm’s products, Predixion Readmission Insight, allows hospitals to detect patients with a high risk of readmission and administer specialized care while patients are admitted to ensure that the initial treatment is successful. The platform, which predicts up to 86 percent of readmissions, ensures that patients receive quality care and eliminates additional, costly hospital visits.

“Our mission is to turn business analysts into predictive analysts and allow knowledge workers to benefit more easily from insightful predictions. Predixion is poised to become the ‘go-to’ vendor in the healthcare industry where disruptive, predictive solutions for the potentially preventable events segment are being utilized with high accuracy and reduced complexity for payors and providers alike,” said Predixion CEO Simon Arkell.

At the summit, Predixion will be among top innovators in the life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device and other industries presenting to a number of venture capitalists, private investors and strategic partners, on the investment opportunities that their company offers.

“Our predictive analytics platform and solutions, which are integrated into clinical applications and accessible on mobile devices to cover the last mile of analytics, are helping our customers improve quality of care and decrease healthcare costs,” Arkell said.
