The sport – like cooking – has its trials.![]() “I enjoy golf because it is so challenging. It’s a game where you can never be perfect, but you can always try!” A native of Orange County, Man has been honing his golfing skills for many years and especially enjoys San Clemente’s Talega course. He’s excited at the prospect of playing the Oak Creek Golf Course in Irvine, which is a sister property of The Island Hotel. Man and his culinary team now manage all food and beverage operations for the golf course. His favorite hole? “The 18th, because we know what happens at the 19th!” His go-to club is an 8-iron. “I feel comfortable with it in my hands. Next is a hybrid, which has really improved my game; it’s much easier to use than a traditional wood.” |
