Outdoor retailer REI is moving from Santa Ana to larger digs at The Market Place in Tustin.
The relocation will add 10,000 square feet of space and will allow REI to increase its product offerings by 30 percent.
"Moving three miles away allows us to provide our current customers more room to shop and a wider selection of gear and apparel to choose from,” said Steve Eaton, REI Santa Ana store manager.
REI will join a variety of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues that have been a trademark of The Market Place.
“REI is a well-known lifestyle brand and a perfect fit for The Market Place,” said Keith Eyrich, president of Irvine Co. Retail Properties. “The store will be embraced by our active customer, as well as serve the greater Orange County market.”
The store is one of 26 located in California. REI operates 112 stores nationwide.
