Irvine-based RFaxis, a fabless semiconductor company specializing in the design and development of radio-frequency (RF) semiconductors and embedded antenna solutions for the wireless and connectivity markets, announced Tuesday that it received its first multi-million dollar purchase order.

The order came from Taiwan’s EDOM Technology, a leading distributor of electronic components and semiconductors in Asia, which signed on as a distributor in September.

EDOM distributes RFaxis’ front-end embedded antenna solutions throughout the broad consumer electronics, PC/peripherals, wireless, and handset markets in Taiwan, China, Singapore, India and Malaysia.

Twelve weeks later, exploding demand for RFaxis solutions in Asia has manifested in high volume orders through EDOM its related products.
