![]() To mark the change, the company plans to launch two new products in the coming weeks. WebMarshal 6.5, due out later this month, supports previous database filtering technology. It includes millions of URLs and more than 100 Web site categories. And MailMarshal 6.7, which will be released in October, implements recently acquired technology to bolster security against blended threats. This is the second name change in the last 10 months for the organization – the result of two company mergers. In November, UK-based Marshal and Orange-based 8e6 Technologies merged to form Marshal8e6. Then in April, the company acquired Avinti to enhance its security services, making M86 Security now one of the largest independent Internet security companies, with offices in London and around the globe. “Our rebranding signifies the next step in the company’s vision to become the recognized leader in comprehensive inbound and outbound content security,” said John Vigouroux, chief executive officer at M86 Security. “M86 Security’s solutions, which are available as hardware, software and SaaS deployments, allow organizations to choose the best deployment platform for their network needs. M86 is one of the few security vendors that can adapt to the needs of organizations of any size.” |
