'Eat, Pray, Love?'

Eat when you’re hungry. Most people wait until they’re starved until actually eating something. Skipping meals to lose weight can in fact have the opposite effect. This often leads to over-eating.
   
Eat what you want. Really? Yes. Have that ice cream, your bacon… don’t deprive yourself of your favourite foods. Instead, enjoy all the foods you love but remember to eat in moderation. You’ll beat those cravings that often lead to binge-eating.
   
Eating slowly as a weight loss tactic is often overlooked. It will give you a chance to enjoy the food and taste. It takes about 20 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain that it’s had enough, so slow down. 
   
Stop when you’re full. Sounds simple, but is not always easy. It might be because we’ve been conditioned to eat everything on our plates. This might be the most important point of all.
