![]() Young women ages 18-28 can enter the contest online by submitting either a 150-word essay and 3 photos, or a one-minute video highlighting how they carve their own paths, live unique lives and ‘dare’ themselves daily. This contest is an opportunity for girls to share their stories and connect with other inspiring young women. Submissions are now being accepted on ROXY’s Facebook page. The contest launched on Jan. 24, and beginning March 29 consumers may vote via Facebook for their favorite entries, narrowing the contestants down to the top 150. For the purpose of the campaign, the globe will be divided into 5 regions: North America, Latin America, North Asia, South Asia and Europe, Africa and the Middle East. 10 finalists per region will be selected by ROXY on April 12, and each will be asked to create a challenge video. Of these contestants, 1 winner from each region will be selected, and winners will be announced on June 25, 2013. According to ROXY, all contest information, Facebook media, videos and more, will be translated into 11 different languages in order to encourage global participation. Throughout the contest, active participation by all contestants will be encouraged. ROXY will post inspiring dares and users can post relating images to social media channels using the hashtag: #ROXYDARES. Dare Yourself is a similar campaign to ROXY’s 2012 social media contest and campaign, Let the Sea Set You Free, which created a community of interactive users numbering over 5,000 entries from 83 different countries.
