The 2011 edition pays direct homage to corporate brands across the U.S. that stand out in a positive and significant way from competitors. Those honored are reviewed, researched and approved by the American Brands Council. The Council consists of a group of independent advertising, marketing and communication professionals. Other companies honored by America’s Greatest Brands include Coca Cola, Chevron, Energizer, Ford, IBM, Memorex, the National Football League, The New York Times, Nikon, Oreo, Sony, State Farm, Tumi, Whirlpool, Xerox and more. Brands are evaluated on a number of criteria, including market leadership, brand quality, longevity, resilience, customer loyalty and market dominance. SRS Labs, having been selected for inclusion in the 2010 America’s Greatest Brands book as well as the 2011, is the only audio brand that has been included twice.
