SRS Labs, Inc., a surround sound, audio enhancement and voice post-processing company, has been recognized as one of America’s leading brands for the second year in a row. The company is included in the 2011 edition of America’s Greatest Brands: An Insight into Many of America’s Strongest and Most Valuable Brands, Volume 9.

“Over the course of the last few years, we have concentrated on reenergizing the SRS brand and increasing the overall mindshare of the brand and what we do especially among consumers while continuing to strengthening SRS’ awareness and brand value within the consumer electronics industry,” said Allen H. Gharapetian, senior vice president of marketing for SRS Labs. “We absolutely believe that being honored as one of America’s Greatest Brands two years in a row by this prestigious publication is a wonderful achievement and clearly validates our success in developing our brand beyond its traditional boundaries while reaffirming SRS’ peerless position as the industry’s foremost leader in the field of audio.”

America’s Greatest Brands is an annual report published by SuperBrands LTD., an international independent authority on and arbiter of branding. The 2011 edition pays direct homage to corporate brands across the U.S. that stand out in a positive and significant way from competitors. Those honored are reviewed, researched and approved by the American Brands Council. The Council consists of a group of independent advertising, marketing and communication professionals.

Other companies honored by America’s Greatest Brands include Coca Cola, Chevron, Energizer, Ford, IBM, Memorex, the National Football League, The New York Times, Nikon, Oreo, Sony, State Farm, Tumi, Whirlpool, Xerox and more. Brands are evaluated on a number of criteria, including market leadership, brand quality, longevity, resilience, customer loyalty and market dominance.

SRS Labs, having been selected for inclusion in the 2010 America’s Greatest Brands book as well as the 2011, is the only audio brand that has been included twice.
