Safelite expands in SoCal
The national auto glass repair service provider looks to open 10 stores in the area.

Safelite Auto Glass, a leading national provider of repair and replacement services for windshields and car windows, is planning to expand its presence in the Southern California region, including Orange County. A new store is slated to open in Irvine later this year.
Safelite currently has one store in Orange County; last month, the company relocated from Santa Ana to a newly renovated 5,400-square-foot store in Westminster.
The company plans to add about 10 new locations in Southern California, including the new Irvine store, by the end of the year, as well as relocate three more of its existing stores. The move will bring the total number of locations in SoCal to 23. Safelite spokeswoman Melina Metzger said the company also is considering opening stores in Anaheim and San Juan Capistrano in 2012.
Referring to last month’s relocation from Santa Ana to Westminster, Safelite General Manager Brad Jones said that the larger renovated site would allow the company to improve customer service in the area.
“While we have had a presence in Orange County for many years, our team is very excited to have increased glass availability, improved time to serve, and a wonderful customer waiting area for customers,” Jones said. “Keeping people safe while they are in their vehicles is a key component to Safelite’s approach to the business. Vehicle glass is an important element of a car’s structural integrity, and we are happy to perform inspections to identify any risky chips or provide a quote on glass damage.”
