Santa Ana-based Ingram Micro – the world's largest technology distributor, according to the company – is partnering up with IBM to distribute its Smart Cube.

The Smart Cube – a key platform in IBM's Smart Business Solution – is designed with small and midsize companies in mind, in industries ranging from telecommunications to health care. It provides a wide range of business applications available for download from the IBM Smart Market.

The Smart Cube combines hardware, software and technical support in a preintegrated, automated application. The innovative quick-response system is essential in helping customers efficiently solve issues.

"As a distributor for Smart Cube, we are extremely pleased to help our channel partners build their IBM business practices while gaining a competitive edge with this exciting and new business-ready offering," says Scott Zahl, vice president of vendor management for Ingram Micro North America.

The Smart Cube plays a key role in catering to the unique needs of small and medium businesses, which usually have smaller information technology staffs and capabilities, according to IBM Smart Business Vice President Jui Jotwani. He says the product allows them to be as advanced as larger entities.
