SMS selected for National Women of Color Business Growth Initiative
Company expects to gain International Organization for Standardization certification by next year.

Santa Ana-based Specialized Marketing Services Inc. (SMS) – a woman-owned, full-service direct response marketing company – was selected as one of eight companies from a national applicant pool to participate in AT&T’s Inaugural National Women of Color Business Growth Initiative.
The program bestows the awarded companies with step-by-step guidance as they achieve full International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001/TL 9000 certification within a 10-month period. Additionally, the companies are provided with networking events, mentoring sessions and resources for executive graduate scholarship training, as well as training and workshops in areas such as global supply management and corporate sustainability.
“As a company, we have been focused on providing our clients with superior service for the last 20 plus years," says SMS founder and CEO Gloria Robbins, who is also OC METRO's current "CEO Centerfold." "We are extremely excited about how the ISO 9001 and TL 9000 certification will help us to continue to increase our customers’ satisfaction and grow our company."
