Web-based coupon service offers discounts to local businesses
Consumers get 50 to 90 percent off purchases; companies expand their reach.

A team of local business professionals have joined efforts to form Screamin’ Coupons, a San Juan Capistrano-based Web service that offers steep discounts to Orange County residents for local products and services.
“We want to keep our community strong and vibrant,” says Benson Kane, co-founder of Screamin’ Coupons. “(Our company) encourages local people to buy the incredible products and services available to Orange County merchants.”
This strategy, company executives say, will allow businesses more exposure to new customers while retaining the loyal ones.
Customers can sign up to become a Screamer free of charge at screamincoupons.com. New deals are presented daily, but the coupons can be redeemed through the expiration date and include discounts to popular restaurants, specialty services and activities that often are considered extras – such as spa treatments, wine tasting, concerts and fitness classes.
And, at the customer’s request, Screamin’ Coupons will donate a portion of any purchases to a charity.
“Giving back to the community is an important part of what we do,” says Kim Sjodin, community director of Screamin’ Coupons. “We have an exciting program for the schools and nonprofit organizations in Orange County that will provide year-round fundraising.”
