Smith Micro's Software Consumer Group is signing a contract with Planetwide Games Inc. to publish and distribute the MashON Spore Comic Book Creator. The wireless communications software company will sell the product both on its webstore and in retail centers worldwide. ![]() MashON Spore is a software program that features Spore, a video game that allows you to build and create your own creatures and universe. Spore was created by Maxis, an Electronic Arts Inc. studio. More than 45 million creations have been built since the game's launch in September 2008, according to Steve Yatson, the senior director of graphics solutions for Smith Micro Software. "The MashON Spore Comic Book Creator adds new layers of excitement to the existing Spore experience, and Smith Micro is thrilled to introduce this fun new instructional tool to our comprehensive line of graphics and animation products,” finishes Yatson. The Comic Book Creator allows consumers to use content from Spore or their own libraries of images and video into comic books, storybooks or graphic novels. They can be shared through MySpace, Facebook and the MashON community. The software for Windows and Macintosh retails for $29.99.
