Sperry Van Ness International acquires 16 new U.S. franchises
The new franchises include two in Southern California

In its most aggressive growth year since 2007, Irvine-based Sperry Van Ness International acquired 16 franchises in the U.S. in 2011. The franchises, located in 11 states, include two in Southern California and are part of the commercial real estate brokerage franchisor’s national expansion program.
“We continue to expand the reach of our franchise by aligning with top firms across the country,” said Kevin Maggiacomo, Sperry Van Ness International president and CEO. “Not only did we exceed our expansion goals in 2011, it was also our best year in terms of growth since the market peaked in 2007.”
Among the firms acquired are Valley Commercial Real Estate in El Centro, Promus Commercial of San Diego and First Guardian Group in San Jose. Sperry Van Ness, whose franchises now serve more than 150 markets, plans to increase its momentum by adding 25 additional franchises in 2012.
