Bret
and Chad van Roden (left and right, respectively) were born in the rural Amish town of Lancaster,
Penn. They were raised in a typical American family by a Dutch father
who instilled discipline and integrity with a wooden paddle and an
Irish mother who showered her boys with love. The twins cruised through
childhood with abounding academic and athletic achievements. Not too
long ago, they realized that there is a big world out there to be
discovered and decided to create the adventure of a lifetime.
Joining Bret and Chad's voyage is younger brother Tyler (center), as well as Makai, their lively, ever-growing Siberian husky.
