The SSTI-Penske alliance is value-based in that it offers SSTI-owned
self-storage customers the convenience of moving truck rental directly
on the premises.
The SSTI strategy identifies ideal
self-storage properties nationwide for acquisition, in order to improve
efficiency in a sector that is comparatively stable but fragmented
among many smaller owner-operators.
U.S. Commercial LLC, the
sponsor of SSTI, manages a growing portfolio of over five million
square feet of commercial properties, including 3.2 million square feet
of self-storage facilities, with a combined market value of over $588
million.

says Schwartz. “In fact, based on the Self-Storage Almanac’s listing of
top self storage operators from 2008, we believe US Commercial’s
current assets under management have now reached levels that will place
us in the top 25.”
