More than 10,000 attendees with a passion for fashion came out last week for the second annual Style Week Orange County at Irvine Spectrum Center. Multiple sold out fashion events included five runway shows by such headliners as “Project Runway” star Nick Verreos, celebrity model Albert Reed and the regions hottest new brands and designers at the 2nd annual Style Week Orange County.

The events, which ran Thursday, Sept. 24 through Sunday, Sept. 27, included LRG’s first-ever fashion show and the Needle & Thread Competition, a “Project Runway”-inspired design competition among Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) top graduates.

“I was thrilled to be part of Style Week Orange County,” says Verreos, owner of Nikolaki Designs and an alumnus of FIDM. “The Needle & Thread Competition was amazing and Irvine Spectrum Center certainly raised the bar in showcasing upcoming designers and talent from Orange County.”

Verreos was on the panel of judges for the Needle & Thread Competition, in which six FIDM Debut Designers showcased as many as five original looks on the runway that they created for the Ezekiel Spring 2010 Collection.
