Irvine-based Earthpack is contributing recycled trash bags to all the Surfrider Foundation chapters for International Surfing Day.

SURFING magazine created International Surfing Day, which takes place June 20, to support and celebrate surfing, as well as to make people more attentive to the state of the world’s beaches and oceans. Earthpack is providing recycled bags to every Surfrider Foundation chapter throughout the world to help volunteers clean up – and clean up well – beaches across the world.

“A passion for surfing and protecting the ocean has been a core concern for Earthpack since our start in 1989,” says Dave Bock, founder and CEO of Earthpack. “International Surfing Day presents us with an opportunity to share our passion for surfing, protecting the ocean and for great recycled bags.”

Earthpack, founded in 1989, supplies recycled bags and boxes to environmentally conscious retailers, as well as helps companies to design logos and create custom packaging. The company offers distribution services, inventory management and paper and plastic recycled packaging.
