![]() Starting Sept. 5, individuals and supporters of the cause will be able to register and pick up a 2009 Race for the Cure T-shirt or survivor shirt and race bib number. The store will also offer giveaways, as well as information regarding the event. The Race for the Cure, which takes place Sunday, Sept. 27, raises funds for breast cancer research and supports local breast health programs, including mammograms for underinsured women. Through events like the Komen Race for the Cure, nearly $1 billion has been invested to support and someday cure breast cancer. The store will be located in the Atrium Court's lower level, near Barnes & Noble, at 401 Newport Center Drive.
