Susan’s Healthy Gourmet, the original local company offering fresh, healthy gourmet meals, home-delivered twice weekly, announced the expansion of its headquarters on Wednesday. The new, 15,000-square-foot-facility on McGaw Avenue in Irvine has triple the kitchen space, which will accommodate the 13-year-old company’s continuing growth.
Susan's Healthy Gourmet services are expanding throughout Southern California, offering its innovative healthy meal choices to customers in Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange and Ventura Counties and the Inland Empire.
“We are thrilled to be in a new facility that affords us the room we need for continued growth,” says Susan Johnson, CEO of Susan’s Healthy Gourmet. “Our larger, state-of-the-art kitchen and greater storage capacity uniquely positions us to bring healthy eating to a growing customer base and to offer an exciting array of new and differentiated services that promote good health to a broader clientele.”
Additionally, it will serve as the production venue for its new venture, Xan Confections, a gourmet chocolate company launched earlier this month. Xan Confections is a collaborative effort from the mother-daughter team of Susan Johnson and Kerry Johnson Anthony. Famed Orange County chocolatier, Tracey Downey, is the company’s director of research and development.
Xan Confections are all natural, rich-tasting chocolates and caramels that are health conscious and perfectly complement the healthy properties of Susan Healthy Gourmet.
