Costa Mesa-based T3 Motion, a designer and producer of clean-energy and green-technology vehicles, will this week debut its first consumer model T3 vehicle. Dubbed the T3 Power Sport, the new line will be revealed at this weekend’s Progressive International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach.

T3 Motion introduced the law enforcement model of its unique electric stand-up vehicle (ESV) in 2006. The company has sold more than 3,000 T3 Motion vehicles over the last five years to law enforcement agencies and security firms from around the globe, with clients in nearly 30 countries, including Singapore, Egypt, France and Lebanon. Stateside, T3’s ESVs and other vehicles are in use at the Pentagon, the CIA, the FBI, and dozens of police departments, universities, airports and other municipal locations.

The company hopes to capitalize on the popularity of the T3-series ESV by making the vehicles available to the broader public. T3 Motion CEO Ki Nam enumerated the many benefits that the green-energy vehicles bring to consumers.

"T3 Motion is entering the consumer market by leveraging the brand we created over the years in the professional market," Nam said. "With an operating cost of less than a penny per mile, T3 products can achieve the equivalent of over 400 miles per gallon of gasoline, allowing users to have fun without high fuel costs and emissions."
