Talk About Curing Autism hosts 6th annual poker fundraiser

“Ante Up For Autism” at the Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel will include celebrity attendees

Celebrities, top athletes, and professional poker players will “Ante Up For Autism” at Talk About Curing Autism’s annual premier poker event and gala this Saturday at the Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Dana Point.

Actor Johnathon Schaech and singer Kate Voegele will co-host the red carpet event, which will feature cocktails, a live and silent auction, poker tips from the professionals and premier poker tournament.

A national non-profit organization, TACA is a leader in helping friends and family with autism by supporting, empowering and educating. This year TACA will help over 32,000 families affected by autism as one in every 88 children are diagnosed with autism and two million are living with it in the US.

The silent auction will feature more than 150 items including autographed memorabilia from professional skateboarder Ryan Sheckler, Angels Baseball, the LA Lakers along with hotel, restaurant, and spa packages and many other wonderful items.

Poker professionals, including “Ante Up” poker host Jamie Gold, 2010 tournament winner Michelle Lau, Chad Brown, Joseph Reitman and Kenna James, will offer the poker tips during the tournament.

The gala will also feature many celebrities including actor Tony Denison of TNT’s Major Crimes, Lacey Chabert from Party of Five and Lost in Space, reality TV star Alexis Bellino of The Real Housewives of Orange County, 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist Kristina Fazekas Zur and many others.  

TACA’s mission to speed up the cycle time from diagnosis to successful treatment is strengthening the autism community by connecting families and professionals move towards an improved quality of life for those affected by autism.
