What that will ultimately look like is a
big question. But the investment in a landmark business is a healthy
sign that outsiders see Orange County and, more broadly, Southern
California as a market that is healing and worth betting on.
There
are plenty of weaknesses to contend with, and unemployment is still
twice what it was two decades ago. But I’m liking what I see, and who
knows? By the end of summer, it may indeed be full of love affairs.
