The top three submissions in each category will be recognized with a prize. Third-place winners will receive two tickets to Disneyland resort; those in second place will receive a Flip Video Camcorder; and first-place honorees will receive $500. There will also be more than 100 honorable mentions awarded to participants who will receive a $10 Starbucks gift card.
The contest is open to everyone, and the apps do not need to be written at the time of submission. Entries will be considered in December and winners will be announced Jan. 5.
