• Thomas McKerlie, distinguished Toastmaster, past district governor
• Thomas
McKerlie, a former member of Smedley Chapter 1 for 31 years, 1969-2001,
and the recipient of the first Distinguished Toastmasters Award (DTM)
in Founder’s District.
• Helen Blanchard, distinguished Toastmaster,
past president Toastmasters International. Blanchard joined
Toastmasters under an assumed “male” name before women were accepted as
members and later became the first woman president of Toastmasters
International.
Staffers for California Senator Lou Correa, 34th District, will make a special presentation.
