Construction of the new towers began in June. The development was a partnership between Sprint and telecommunications infrastructure firm Mobilitie, and Caltrans and the Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency. The new cell towers were designed to be visually appealing and to blend in with the surrounding environment.
