Electronics manufacturer and information technology giant Toshiba has released a new tablet. The Excite 10 SE will feature several upgrades to its predecessor and will be priced at just under $350, considerably less expensive than many other comparable machines currently available in the ever-expanding tablet market.

This latest iteration in Toshiba’s Excite tablet collection will continue to have many of the features available on previous models, including the 10.1-inch screen and stereo speakers, while also making several improvements. The new Excite 10 SE will run on the latest Android operating system, Android 4.1, Jelly Bean, and will feature the new Google Now intelligent personal assistant and voice search apps.

The tablet will be 0.4 inches thick and only weigh 22.6 ounces. It will come with a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera as well as Micro SD and Micro USB ports. As with previous Excite models, the new tablet will continue to feature Bluetooth 3.0.

“Our Excite family of tablets continues to grow with options to suit a wide range of consumer needs, from portability and gaming to versatility and power,” said Carl Pinto, vice president of marketing for Toshiba’s digital products division. “We designed the Excite 10 SE to be a full featured tablet that offers a pure Android, Jelly Bean experience, while maintaining an attractive price point.”
