  • Tresor Properties of Laguna Beach held a beachside holiday concert on Saturday to raise money and awareness for a remote town in Mexico. More than 300 attended and raised nearly $14,000.

The event was part of the El Cardonal Emergency Medical Rescue Outreach Project and the funds are being used to purchase and emergency medical vehicle for the town.

El Cadonal is a remote town in the East Cape region of Baja California Sur, where Tresor Properties is developing luxury homes. The town lacks local medical facilities and the EMT vehicle is the first of a series of medical provisions that Tresor hopes to bring to the region, as the nearest hospital is nearly two hours away.

Among the attendees was El Cardonal’s mayor, Luis Lucero, Guests enjoyed food, drinks and live music. A silent auction contributed to the fundraising.

“We at Tresor Properties have had the privilege of spending a lot of time in El Cardonal, and we now know many of its residents,” says John Fischbeck, president and founding partner at Tresor. “These are wonderful people who need some very basic help. Bringing medical provisions is something we are proud to do as part of this holiday season.”

Tresor plans to continue fundraising for the town throughout 2009. The next goal is to rais money for an emergency medical clinic, which the Tresor team will construct itself.
