![]() Toshiba's new multidetector products, which can acquire multiple slices or sections in a scan simultaneously, will make examinations faster, safer and more relevant for medical professionals. They also offer a set of standard and advanced features that help to improve the field of medical technology. “We developed the Aquilion Premium and the Aquilion CX to meet our customers' ever-changing medical imaging needs," says Doug Ryan, senior director of Toshiba's CT business unit. The Aquilion Premium includes 160-detector rows and scanning coverage of up to 8 centimeters in a single rotation. The technology comes standard with a 72 kW generator and a 660-pound patient-weight couch to better accommodate larger patients.
