The center's other leader is Information & Computer Sciences Associate Dean Magda El Zarki (left). More than 20 other faculty members from computer science, arts, humanities, social science and education will also join forces to help the program achieve success.
UCI runs a number of game-related research projects. Among them: game-based virtual worlds where students both play and learn through interactive simulations; and open community-based development of games and synthetic worlds.
