UC Irvine, Chapman University and Cal State Fullerton are teaming up to host a forum dedicated to finding solutions to global warming on Friday.

Entitled Green Development: A Search for Solutions, speakers will describe existing and potential practices that can reduce the human carbon footprint. The morning will be broken down into three different topics: Green Energy and Technology, Green Business and University Solutions, and Green Consumer Prospectives Panel.

During the Green Energy and Technology session, which begins at 9 a.m., UCI's National Fuel Cell Research Center Director Scott Samuelson (right) will present "Fuel Cells and Other Emerging Technologies," and CSU Fullerton Information Technology Vice President Amir Dabirian will discuss "Green Computing." Two other topics will also be addressed.

Starting at 10:45 a.m., the Green Business and University Solutions panel will feature Orange County Water District Groundwater Replenishment System Program Manager Shijavi Deshmukh, who will discuss "Sustaining the World's Water Supply." Other topics include technology that would reduce the amount of greenhouse gas emitted and the universities' response to the solutions.
